Anna Delvey

Famous con-artist Anna Delvey’s participation in “Dancing with the Stars” has sparked considerable controversy. Front Page Detectives is reporting that co-hosts of “The View” have strongly voiced their disapproval.

“I’m here for a redemption arc, and not a rehabilitation arc: somebody who has owned and taken responsibility for what they did wrong,” Alyssa Farah Griffin said. “I’m not convinced this person has. Con artists tend to remain con artists.”

House arrest
Facing house arrest after her release from prison, Delvey, whose real name is Anna Sorkin, received clearance from ICE to compete despite her criminal background as a convicted con artist.
Whoopi Goldberg
Whoopi Goldberg expressed frustration over the perceived preferential treatment Delvey received, especially when considering families affected by ICE actions.
Family members
“I think back to all the families who’ve had family members arrested by ICE, who have gone to the courts to get their dad or their mother or their brother back,” Goldberg said. “And this woman, they gave her permission to go do this. Now, should I think there’s a reason. Is there a two-tiered system here with ICE?”
The fairness
The co-hosts questioned the fairness of Delvey’s opportunity to appear on a reality show while still owing money to her victims.
Running for president
“We have a felon running for president, why are we surprised?” Sara Haines said.
Dancing show
Delvey, however, downplayed concerns about her casting and claimed that her ankle monitor would not affect her performance. “It’s just not that serious. If someone is that upset about casting on a dancing show, I don’t know what to tell them,” Devley said.
